Sanctuary Baines’ Camp, in the Okavango Delta, is the smallest of our camps with just five suites. Wheel out your four poster ‘sky bed’ on to the deck and sleep under the stars. What’s more, a romantic ‘star bath’ can be set up on your private viewing deck – soak in the candlelight under the vast star-filled African sky.
Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp is a classic tented camp with eight individually-designed tents, each with a large wooden deck.
Both these camps offer the exclusive ‘Walking with Elephants’ experience. It’s a unique opportunity to walk alongside three semi-habituated elephants – Jabu, Thembi and Morula. If you are lucky, they may just cuddle you with their trunks!
Also in the Okavango Delta is Sanctuary Chief’s Camp, where each private bush pavilion has its own deck and romantic outdoor shower. Set on Chief’s Island, it’s one of the best game viewing locations in Africa, and it is common to view big cats as you enjoy a romantic sundowner.
Our intimate lodge in the Chobe National Park, Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero, has 15 cottages, each with indoor and outdoor showers. There’s also a full service spa, perfect for some pampering before a romantic dinner in your private garden. It’s only a 90-minute drive from Victoria Falls in Zambia, another African ‘must-see’.
