Barefoot Traveller says
Renowned for its white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, (not to mention the world class diving), the Cayman Islands are one of the ultimate honeymoon destinations, offering the perfect combination of sunshine, sophisticated yet warm Caribbean hospitality and incredible once in a lifetime experiences.
There are three easily-accessible islands – Grand Cayman, Little Cayman or Cayman Brac – with direct flights from the UK to Grand Cayman and 40-minute flights each day across to Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.
There’s a wide range of accommodation options. Stay in the lap of luxury at one of Grand Cayman’s upscale resorts, such as The Ritz-Carlton, or go for something a little more intimate such as Sunshine Suites which offer designer location without the designer price tag.
For a complete escape, relax in romantic seclusion in a cosy beach bungalow in Little Cayman or Cayman Brac. ”The Brac”, as it’s known locally, is a haven for wildlife with craggy bluffs and fascinating caves whilst Little Cayman is even quieter with more iguanas than people and Bloody Bay Wall, one of the world’s most impressive dive and snorkelling sites.
We recommend the Brac Reef Beach Resort, a secluded island paradise renowned for diving but also perfect for non divers.
Our pick on Little Cayman is Pirates Point which offers laid back sophistication and particularly good food, prepared by the inimitable owner, Gladys Howard.

Sure it’s an offshore banking hub, but it has more flora and fauna than the Galapagos. In-the-know honeymooners board the 40-minute flight from Grand Cayman to Little Cayman for world class diving at Bloody Bay Wall and parties at The Hungry Iguana. Population: 150. Charm: off the scale. It doesn’t get much more laid back than this.
