    Lake Malawi and Zambia

    Jane's verdict:

Robin Pope is one of the most respected names in African safaris. Their experts have put together an adventurous, indulgent and downright sexy lake and bush honeymoon in Zambia and Malawi, selecting the most romantic lodges, private game drives, bush walks and boat cruises, intimate breakfasts on board a dhow in Lake Malawi, candlelit dinners and snorkelling.

    Robin Pope Safaris says

We offer an exceptional honeymoon package in remote and romantic settings in Zambia and Malawi. It’s the perfect mix of rustic appeal and luxury for a honeymoon to remember for all the right reasons.

    • Romantic extras
    • Safari adventures
    • See Victoria Falls

Your romantic getaway starts with three nights in Livingstone, Zambia at Stanley Safari Lodge

Livingstone is home to one of the seven natural wonders of the world, The Victoria Falls, and offers many opportunities, both adrenaline filled and more sedate, to view this amazing site. There are game viewing opportunities too, with a chance to see white rhino in Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park and river trips on the Zambezi River. We can’t think of a better place to start your honeymoon.

Next comes three nights at the intimate Luangwa River Camp. South Luangwa National Park in Zambia is one of the last unspoilt wilderness areas and possibly the finest wildlife sanctuary in Africa. The lagoons, woodland and plains are home to huge concentrations of game – including elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion, giraffe, hippo – and over 400 species of birds.

After an adventurous safari, you will spend four blissful nights relaxing on the shores of Lake Malawi National Park at Pumulani (which means place of rest) – this luxury beach lodge is located on Lake Malawi’s Nankumba Peninsula, one of the most beautiful shores on the lake.

You can be as relaxed or as active as you wish, with an endless list of activities on offer including sunset cruises, sailing, snorkelling, scuba diving, kayaking and more.

We take special care of honeymooners with chilled sparkling wine on arrival at all camps, a private romantic meal just for the two of you and a free snorkelling excursion on Lake Malawi, for example.

This 10-night honeymoon costs approximately £2,543 per person, including all meals, game drives, transfers (excludes international flights).
