Snail Trail says
We love Volkswagen camper vans so much so that we have a family of eleven of them, each available for a week’s honeymoon or three night minimoon. Betty, Flo, Pearl, Elsie and their sisters have their own blog to help you choose the right one for you.
All of our VW campers sleep up to four, using the pop-up roof, so you’ll find plenty of room for the two of you.
Furnishings vary from van to van, but are tastefully and comfortably retro in style. From a corkscrew to Scrabble, you’ll find virtually everything you need in terms of equipment (except bedding which you’ll need to provide). See what’s included.
The techie stuff is that they have all been built since 2006 and are (almost) all powered with a 1600cc air-cooled engine which means they growl nicely and perform well. They’re right-hand drive with manual transmission and have all mod cons – which in camper van speak means an electric hook-up facility, fridge/cool box, gas hob and grill, independent heating system, decent speakers, an audio FM transmitter for your iPod or MP3 and CD/radio.
Each van carries AA membership and a Camping and Caravanning Club Privilege Pack too.
You set off and return to our base in Baldock, Bedfordshire and the price (from £550 to £825 for a week) includes unlimited mileage, AA recovery service and insurance for one driver (aged 25 or over).
