10 of the Best Honeymoon Suites

By Jane Anderson

In my experience of staying in hotels, there’s often a significant difference between the best room in the house and the worst. And it may be that some rooms may not be the most expensive, but they have some feature that really appeals to you such as a roll top bath by the bed, a view of the sea or particular décor.

In some hotels, such as Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons in Oxfordshire, every room is completely individual ranging from lavender themed Victoriana to sexy Oriental. For your honeymoon it’s worth taking the time to investigate exactly what details your room has and if having a private pool, or minimalist décor, or a fridge full of booze is important to you, then make sure you have it.

It’s also worth checking what is included in the suite in terms of fruit, water, a bottle of wine; a rose petal bath perhaps as different grades of rooms come with different extras. You should also check out my guide to the best honeymoon hotels with private pool.
