Jane Anderson 101 Honeymoons

Jane Anderson, editor of 101 Honeymoons

After a post-grad course in journalism at Cardiff University, Jane landed her first junior writer’s position on a travel magazine specialising in long-haul. Within days she was jetting off to Antigua for the weekend and has been hooked on travel writing ever since.

Jane spent 10 years as Travel Editor at You & Your Wedding, sampling more honeymoons than Elizabeth Taylor. An authority on weddings abroad, she wrote A Place to Wed published by Conran Octopus. Now freelance, she writes for a number of newspapers and magazines including The Sunday Times Travel Magazine and Elle.

And her favourite destination? “I could be staying in the beautiful Eden Rock hotel on St Barts, in the French West Indies, or exploring the wide sandy beaches of Northumberland near my parents’ house, and it all counts as wonderful travel in my book.”

Mark Hodson, group editor

Mark has written for The Sunday Times and Sunday Times Travel Magazine for more than 15 years, as well as numerous other newspapers, magazines and websites. In September 2010, he was voted one of the UK’s Top 50 Travel Writers in a poll of fellow professionals for Press Gazette magazine. Mark lives with his wife and two children in South London.

David Wickers, group editor

On three occasions David was voted Travel Writer of the Year, and in 2009 he received the Award for Outstanding Contribution at the Travel Press Awards. His 17 years as Chief Travel Correspondent for The Sunday Times, coupled with his ongoing role as Travel Editor on Good Housekeeping, puts him in a strong position to appreciate the very best in travel.

Catherine Leech, director

Catherine’s many roles in the travel industry have included PR director, tourist board head, tour operator, online travel presenter and tourism advisor. Almost as well travelled as David and Mark, she’s a Caribbean aficionado and a huge fan of Sri Lanka, Barcelona and the coast of Dorset.
