    5-star Cornwall

    Jane's verdict:

There’s a new wave of cool in Cornwall from surfing to local cuisine that’s making it a top choice for UK honeymoons. Gwel an Mor is top of my list for its VIP Scandinavian-style wooden lodges with private hot tubs, spa, and ocean view restaurant. If you’re taking kids on honeymoon, this is a great choice, otherwise you might want to avoid peak school holiday times.

Recommended place to stay: Gwel an Mor

    Gwel an Mor says

Our five-star resort offers a delightful honeymoon retreat on the stunning north coast of Cornwall.

    • Beautiful location
    • Spa and pool
    • Wooden lodges for two

Cosy up together in your luxury lodge, rustle up your favourite treats and head out when you feel like it – hit the beach, try your hands at surfing, walk the coastal paths, enjoy a game of tennis and indulge in some delicious Cornish cuisine at the many local pubs and restaurants.

All of our spacious five-star Scandinavian-style wooden lodges have stunning views of the Atlantic and spacious wooden decks from which to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Each lodge is fully-equipped and furnished to the highest of standards.

As this is your honeymoon, our VIP lodges are particularly recommended. Each has a wood burner and private hot tub on the sun deck – and guests in our VIP Deluxe lodges also enjoy champagne on ice and canapés on arrival, a gas barbecue and complimentary spa treatments.

We have an on-site Spa with two treatment rooms – why not treat your loved one to a surprise Pamper Package?

Our Terrace Restaurant has spectacular views over the Atlantic ocean and serves a delicious mix of Mediterranean and modern Cornish cuisine.

There’s a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym. We even have our own wildlife centre, Feadon Farm, where you can get up close and personal with our resident wildlife – hand-feed one our tame rescue foxes or fly a bird of prey.

The resort is only a ten minute walk from the stunning sandy beach in the romantic harbour village of Portreath and a ten minute drive to the A30, making the rest of Cornwall easily accessible for days out.

We offer three and four night minimoons as well as longer stays.
