Romantic Scotland

Jane Anderson, Honeymoon expert Jane's verdict
Hand on my heart, I think Scotland is just about the most romantic honeymoon destination in the world. With happening yet historic Edinburgh packed with sexy hotels to lochs and the wide-open beauty of the Highlands and Islands, you’ll return every anniversary. And why not do it in style from behind the wheel of a classic car.

We like to think that nobody knows Scotland quite like we do – we not only love it, we also know the best places for the ultimate in romantic experiences, from the great outdoors to the perfect spot for a delicious dinner.

  • Handpicked hotels
  • Ideal for summer weddings
  • Unique experiences

We generally tailor-make most honeymoons but here are some of our favourite ideas to whet your Scottish appetite.

Our six-night Luxury Scottish Honeymoon takes you from one of Edinburgh’s finest five-star hotels to a boutique lodge on the shores of Loch Ness and a private island off the west coast of Argyll. Drive your own car or, perhaps better still, hire a 1950s Austin Healey or Mini Cooper – we have a great range of classic and sports cars.

Head to the Trossachs for a six-night luxury honeymoon. From there, travel through the Glencoe Pass to take the ferry across to the Isle of Skye. Cosy up in your luxury hotel or build an appetite in the great outdoors – the food at our selected hotels in both locations is nothing short of stellar.

If food ranks high on your wish list, try our six-night Scottish Seafood Trail travelling from Glasgow past Loch Lomond and on to Wester Ross. The scenery en route is jaw-dropping and you’ll be able to enjoy the finest local produce from hand-dived scallops to langoustines, game and Highland beef.

For a romantic taste of yesteryear, check out our seven night Premier Round Scotland trip. Travel (first class of course) by train, including the Jacobite steam train and scenic West Highland Line, with overnight stays in luxurious hotels and lodges. With your own private guide, you will see such wonderful places as Loch Lomond, Loch Ness, Mallaig, Kyle of Lochalsh and Killiekrankie with plenty of time to relax in private in gorgeous surroundings.

We are enormously proud to have been awarded ‘AITO Tour Operator of the Year 2016’ based on outstanding customer reviews and ‘Best Small Tour Operator’ in the Guardian & Observer Travel Awards 2011–2014.
