Luxury Seychelles

Jane Anderson, Honeymoon expert Jane's verdict
Known for its provocative coco de mer or love nut and as the original site of the Garden of Eden, you don’t get much more seductive than the Seychelles. Push the boat out and stay at one of the luxury hotels on the main island of Mahé or perhaps Praslin Island, then head out to one of the smaller coral islands for some serious barefoot luxury.

Recommended tour operator: Abercrombie & Kent

Abercrombie & Kent says

Think picture-postcard islands, magnificent white sand beaches with sculptural granite boulders framed by casuarina and palm trees swaying in gentle sea breezes. This, coupled with some of the world’s most exquisite hotels and a host of special honeymoon treats, makes the Seychelles perfect for romance.

  • Luxury hotels
  • Stunning beaches
  • Two-island options

We have selected the very best of accommodation with romance in mind – from boutique hotels to luxury resorts and private islands. We have also negotiated some special treats for honeymooners from romantic dinners to spa treatments and more.

From our hand-picked selection of 14 resorts, here are four of our honeymoon favourites.

Four Seasons Resort Seychelles, on the main island of Mahé, delivers luxury, exclusivity and stellar service in a jaw-dropping setting. The spa is exceptional and the hillside setting, sweeping down towards the white sands of Petite Anse bay, is glorious. We highly recommend the Hilltop Ocean-View Villas, each of which has a private pool.

Constance Ephelia is a more lively resort on Mahé, with a wide range of facilities and no fewer than five restaurants. There are two beaches with some fantastic snorkelling and free bicycles for guests to use.

The island of Praslin is a short flight, helicopter or boat ride away from Mahé. Raffles Praslin is a larger resort with 86 villas, a wide range of activities and arguably the best service in the Seychelles. The food here is superb, the spa is exceptional and guests can enjoy golf at the nearby 18-hole course.

For something more low-key on Praslin, head to L’Archipel which has just 30 rooms and a charming Seychellois vibe.

Push the boat out, following in the footsteps of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and escape to North Island. It’s a private island with just 11 villas, each with a private pool, and a true sense of escapism. We love the resort’s commitment to sustainability and A&K guests will enjoy some exclusive added benefits such as a massage for two, villa upgrade and welcome Champagne.

If you can’t decide which island is for you, our Seychelles team can create a the perfect island-hopping honeymoon for you, combining two contrasting island experiences such as Mahé and Praslin or Mahé and Desroches, for example.
