Sugar & Loaf says

We can’t imagine a more romantic escape than one of our stylish boltholes for two, tucked away in beautiful Welsh countryside.

  • Beautiful locations
  • Romantic cottages
  • Stay in a luxury yurt

With honeymooners in mind, we have hand-picked a selection of bijou cottages for two, shepherd’s huts, hip hideaways and luxury yurts in such gorgeous spots as the Brecon Beacons, the Black Mountains, Snowdonia and the Wye Valley.

All our properties have self-catering facilities – some even have an outdoor hot tub – and we’ll also arm you with carefully-researched tips on local pubs, restaurants, walks and other attractions. Our local team in Wales can arrange a welcome pack of groceries if you wish, leaving you to just relax in your cosy hideaway.

For the ultimate in privacy, it’s hard to beat Eathelin in Tenbury Wells. This beautifully crafted gem is as romantic as it is rustic – from the private hot tub to the beautiful free-standing copper bathtub. Take a romantic riverside walk, or explore the smaller market towns of Leominster, Ludlow, and Ledbury.

For something completely different, check out this beautifully crafted hideaway. The Wood Shack, Abergavenny, offers a gorgeous outside space and warming wood-burning stove.

The Sugar Loaf Shepherds Huts is a fabulous luxury bolthole set in a field by a stream in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. There’s a wood-burning stove, well-equipped kitchen and even a shower room.

You can book all our properties for a long weekend or by the week and some accept dogs.
